Bury and District MTA are a non-profit making organisation, offering Motorcycle training in Whitefield, Bury (UK!). We operate Saturday mornings from app 9 am till 1 pm. We are affiliated to the BMF.
Every year, we organise the Robert Peel road trial in conjuction with Bury MBC Road Safety unit.
We offer training from absolute novice all the way to advanced training.
Our standard training portfolio is two main courses with a few options to them - The Standard course and the advanced.
The second course in the portfolio is the Blue Riband - The BMF advanced course. This is based on the motorcycle roadcraft system, and covers all types of road. The course will normally be adjusted a little to cover what YOU want to get out of it. Price? £70. That will entitle you to a 20% discount with the BMF insurance scheme.
All that we ask is you have a reasonable bike, are prepared to listen, and have a little bit of experience - We are not expecting you to be an expert when you arrive, but give it a couple of months after passing your test simply to get the feel of a bigger bike.
If you have just passed your test and would like a few lessons to help you get to know the bigger bike, and a little guidance on a motorway, we can help - drop me a line
We can offer any training you want - if you already have a full licence but have not ridden for some time we can arrange a refresher for you.
All Motorcyclists are welcome, why not drop in and say hello. We are based at Whitefield adult education centre. To find us, leave the M60 (formerly M62) at Junction 17 (A56) and head towards Bury. At the second set of lights, bear left. At this point, a pub called "The Junction" is in front of you, and McDonalds is on your left. We are on the right, Just after the Golf course, opposite the Eagle and Child Pub.
